Mordheim seemingly has it all. A tight rule set, based back when Fantasy was at the top of it's game, RPG elements to keep a campaign flowing smoothly and a fantastically gritty and dark backdrop, courtesy of Tuomas Pirinen and John Blanche et al.
With all the cheese of an anime movie, don't let the name fool you. Mordheim is THE single best production that came out of GW.
Recently I managed to convince some of my D&D group that Mordheim is worth a shot and so begins the tale of 3 guys that have no idea what they are getting into. I've tried to keep the D&D setting dark and dirty, but boy have they got a surprise coming to them when my Witch Hunters find them skulking around outside the pit.
